Your Civil Rights

The Minnesota Department of Human Rights enforces one of the strongest civil rights laws in the country, the Minnesota Human Rights Act.

Since 1967, the Minnesota Human Rights Act has protected the civil rights of Minnesotans.

The law prohibits discrimination in different areas such as employment, housing, and education on the basis of protected class such as race, religion, and disability.
