Tentative Contract Agreement Reached Between Hillsborough Teachers, School

The Hillsborough Township BOE and the Hillsborough Education Association have come to a tentative agreement on a new three-year contract.

The Hillsborough Township Board of Education and the Hillsborough Education Association have come to a tentative contract agreement.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The Hillsborough Township Board of Education and the Hillsborough Education Association have come to a tentative contract agreement.

On Dec. 2, following several hours of talks, the two sides signed a memorandum of agreement on a tentative contract agreement.

The current contract expires at the close of the current school year and the newly agreed upon tentative contract, upon ratification, will be in effect beginning July 1, 2022 through June, 2025.

Details on the contract will be released following full ratification, according to the Hillsborough School District.

"We are pleased that the agreement was reached in a timely manner prior to the expiration of the current contract through a collaborative approach. The Board of Education and Hillsborough Education Association look forward to continuing work to ensure the best for our students, staff, and community," said Hillsborough Township Schools Spokesman Michael Callahan.
